SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) – Running back Frank Gore and cornerback Tarell Brown took a little time off to heal nagging injuries this week, but both are expected to play when the San Francisco 49ers host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Gore is nursing a wrist problem, while Brown’s hamstring has been problematic.
Both players said they will be ready to go and 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that he expects Gore and Brown to play as San Francisco tries to rebound from last Sunday’s 16-13 overtime loss to St. Louis.
Wide receiver Mario Manningham remains doubtful with a shoulder injury, and several other players are listed as probable.
The 49ers have won nine consecutive home games in December, second only to the New England Patriots (19).
