DENVER (AP) -Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey missed his sixth straight game Sunday, hampered by a slow recovery from a torn groin.
Bailey had insisted Monday that he’d play against the Kansas City Chiefs but he was sore and slowed after going hard in practice Wednesday.
Rookie Josh Bell started in his place for the fourth straight game.
Also inactive for Denver were safety Marlon McCree (ankle), who’s been out for more than a month, and running back Selvin Young (groin), who’s run the ball just one time in the past two months.
Wide receiver Mark Bradley (calf) was among Kansas City’s inactives. He was replaced by Devard Darling.
