FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - Rex Ryan says it's an ``ideal scenario'' for the New York Jets to have all three of their running backs - Shonn Greene, Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight - in the mix for playing time the rest of this season.
It has been rare for all three to be healthy and effective in the same game, as they were in the Jets' 27-13 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Ryan says Tuesday that using all three helps throw off defenses, and AFC East rivals New England, Miami and Buffalo all use multiple players in the backfield.
Greene is the starter, but says he's fine with sharing the workload. The Jets ran for 124 yards and two scores, both by Powell, last week with all three backs splitting time.
