PITTSBURGH (AP) -The San Diego Chargers held out cornerback Cletis Gordon and safety Steve Gregory due to injuries for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Gordon has a knee injury and Gregory, listed as questionable on the team’s injury report, has a neck injury.
The Chargers signed running back Michael Bennett and safety Tra Battle to their 53-man roster, but only Battle was in uniform. Also deactivated were guard Kynan Forney, wide receiver Buster Davis, tight end Kris Wilson and defensive tackle Ian Scott.
The Steelers signed cornerback Roy Lewis and released Dallas Baker, who spent part of the season as their fourth wide receiver. Lewis and cornerback Fernando Bryant, who signed Tuesday, were added due to injuries that sidelined cornerbacks Bryant McFadden and Deshea Townsend, both of whom were declared out at midweek.
