NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee running back Chris Henry played Sunday in the Titans’ 20-7 victory over Carolina as a backup to LenDale White.
The rookie said he doesn’t know what happens next with a four-game suspension from the NFL looming.
“I’m new to all this,” he said.
Henry faces a four-game suspension reportedly for a positive test for a banned substance added to the league’s list within the past year. He reportedly was going to be officially notified Saturday with the chance to appeal the suspension.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher declined to comment after the game because the team had not been officially notified by the NFL of the suspension.
“At this point, I am awaiting for notification from the league office and at that point we’ll deal with the specifics of the suspension, the possibility for appeal, those kinds of things,” Fisher said.
Henry was drafted by the Titans in the second round in April out of Arizona. Henry was deactivated for the first five games but has played in three straight with Chris Brown recovering from a high ankle sprain.
The rookie opened the game by returning a kickoff 46 yards, setting up the Titans’ opening touchdown drive. He had three carries for minus-3 yards.
“You’ve got to keep it positive,” Henry said. “You have to always stay positive, no matter what. … This is a positive team, and a supportive team.”
