NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Titans quarterback Vince Young threw a little Thursday, but remained sidelined during practice by his strained right quadriceps muscle.
``He didn't run around and didn't test the leg out, but he threw the ball,'' coach Jeff Fisher said. ``He's improving. The treatment procedures and everything are helping out. We'll see how he is tomorrow. There's a chance he could practice tomorrow. We just have to wait and see.''
Fisher has said Young might be able to skip practicing and still play Sunday when the Titans (3-2) visit the Houston Texans (3-3) because of the quarterback's familiarity with an opponent he played twice as a rookie.
But the coach said it's hard to predict if Young has improved enough so far to play. The strain is an injury that could be worsened if Young returns too soon.
``It's day to day, and we will make a decision later on in the week. It could be as late as gametime whether or not he'll play,'' Fisher said.
Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (knee) returned to practice along with right guard Benji Olson. Receiver Brandon Jones (knee) did not practice along with running back Chris Brown, who may be a gametime decision with a sore ankle.
Fullback Ahmard Hall (concussion) ran but did not practice. Defensive end Antwan Odom (thigh) was limited.
