EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings placed backup defensive lineman Darrion Scott on injured reserve Tuesday.
Scott was on crutches in the locker room on Monday with an apparent problem with his left foot sustained during practice. He participated in drills during the portion of the workout that was open to the media.
In his fourth season out of Ohio State, Scott recorded three tackles and one quarterback hurry in four games. He was behind Kenechi Udeze at left end and played inside in passing situations.
Scott started 28 games in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. To fill his roster spot, guard Brian Daniels was signed off the practice squad. Also, linebacker Cameron Siskowic was waived off injured reserve.
