DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -Miami safety Travares Tillman has had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
The arthroscopy was performed Monday at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Last season, Tillman had 45 tackles and started seven games for the Dolphins. He has 11 tackles this season and was injured during the Dolphins’ 31-28 loss to the New York Jets on Sept. 23.
Tillman was inactive for the Dolphins’ loss to the Raiders last Sunday. His is the latest in a string of injuries for Miami.
Seven-time Pro Bowl middle linebacker Zach Thomas missed two consecutive games with a concussion and defensive tackle Vonnie Holliday and linebacker Channing Crowder left Sunday’s game in the first half with ankle injuries. Safety Yeremiah Bell suffered a season-ending Achilles’ tendon injury in the season opener.
Crowder’s left ankle was taped and he did not practice Wednesday. Holliday has a slight fracture and is expected to need a week or two to recover.
Defensive tackle Keith Traylor was “limited” for Wednesday’s practice with ankle soreness. Traylor said he expects to be ready to play at Houston on Sunday.
