IRVING, Texas (AP) -St. Louis Rams linebacker Roonall Smith and offensive guard Adam Goldberg left in the second half of Sunday’s game at Dallas with knee injuries, and receiver Issac Bruce had a hamstring injury.
Smith’s injury was described as a sprained knee. There was no word on the seriousness of the injury to Goldberg, who was taken to the locker room, with the team saying he wouldn’t return.
With the Rams trailing 35-7 and already without another lineman late in the third quarter, Gus Frerotte replaced Marc Bulger at quarterback. Bulger was playing with two broken ribs.
Goldberg appeared to get hurt soon after halftime when he was beat on a block by Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis, who got around the right tackle for a sack of Bulger.
The Rams were already playing without starting right guard Richie Incognito (ankle), who was inactive. They haven’t finished a game this season with the same five linemen who started.
Ellis played his first game since missing the final seven games last season with a torn left Achilles’ tendon.
