ST. LOUIS (AP) -St. Louis Rams cornerback Tye Hill injured his right knee in the first quarter Sunday and the team said his return was questionable.
Hill, a first-round pick in 2006, lost his balance while jostling with Bills wide receiver James Hardy midway through the first quarter and landed awkwardly. He limped off the field with some assistance.
Jason Craft, signed on Wednesday after cornerback Fakhir Brown was released, replaced Hill in the lineup even though he only had three practices with his new team. Craft, recently released by the Saints, was listed as third-string on the flip card behind second-year player Jonathan Wade.
Hill was placed back in the starting lineup after being used in nickel packages last week in a loss at Seattle.
