JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free agent cornerback William James and waived safety Jamaal Fudge on Monday.
James spent the offseason with Buffalo, but was released in final cuts Saturday. He has also played with the New York Giants (2001-05) and Philadelphia Eagles(2006-07). He has 236 tackles and six interceptions in 68 career games.
Fudge played in 20 games in two seasons with the Jaguars after signing as an undrafted rookie in 2006. He was beaten out in the preseason by Pierson Prioleau.
Jacksonville also added quarterback Paul Smith to its practice squad. Smith signed as an undrafted rookie free agent in April and was waived in late July.
