HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -The New York Jets moved linebacker Matt Chatham from the active-physically unable to perform list to the reserve-PUP list Tuesday.
By being placed on the reserve-PUP list, Chatham can’t practice with the team or play during the first six weeks of the regular season. Chatham has been hobbled by a foot injury and didn’t participate in training camp or minicamp.
Chatham had 34 tackles, including 15 on special teams, while playing in every game in his first season with New York. He spent his first six NFL seasons with New England.
