HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Willie Colon says he and his New York Jets teammates heard rookie Andre Williams' remark that the Giants are New York's team and they'll answer him on the field in their preseason game.
After Jets coach Rex Ryan jokingly fired back at the running back Wednesday, the fourth-round pick out of Boston College later wrote on Twitter that New York is big enough for two teams and he didn't ''mean to come off as if I'm running my mouth.''
Colon, speaking after practice at Hofstra University on Thursday night, says MetLife Stadium is the Jets' ''house'' and they can settle it by winning Friday night.
The practice was the first time the Jets, now based in Florham Park, New Jersey, returned to their former training home since 2010.
