WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) – Saints star tight end Jimmy Graham can afford to have a sense of humor about the pink floral wallpaper print in the room he was assigned to at the Greenbrier Resort.
Graham is finally at practice after a protracted contract holdout that kept him out of all of the Saints’ offseason work.
Graham says the hardest part of the holdout that ultimately produced his four-year, $40 million deal last week was being away from teammates and coaches. Graham says staying in shape was the easy part, and he proved it after recording the lowest time on the team in conditioning tests.
Quarterback Drew Brees says ”there’s no doubt” Graham is ”in shape and ready to roll.”
In four pro seasons, Graham 301 receptions for 3,863 yards and 41 touchdowns.
