IRVING, Texas (AP) -Terrell Owens has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth around $27 million to stick with the Dallas Cowboys.
A person close to the negotiations who asked to remain anonymous because the deal hasn't been announced confirmed the extension Monday night.
Owens wasn't worried about going into the final year of a three-year, $25 million contract signed in March 2006 - and he was right.
Owens has lived up to his billing as a dynamic receiver, catching more touchdown passes the last two seasons combined than any other player in the NFL.
The deal was first reported by ESPN.com.
