NEW YORK (AP) -NFL commissioner Roger Goodell apologized Friday to Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson and Clemson's Gaines Adams for the release of information from confidential interviews at the league's combine in February.
Johnson and Adams were among five players expected to be drafted early on Saturday who visited the league headquarters Friday. They are in town as part of a predraft media tour and the trip to the NFL offices always is part of that itinerary.
Goodell told both he was sorry for the breach of confidentiality. The commissioner already has warned the 32 teams in a memo that any further leaks will be disciplined.
A recent story in Pro Football Weekly identified Johnson, Adams and Louisville's Amobi Okoye as admitting they experimented with marijuana. That report cited unidentified club officials and said the information came from videotaped interviews at the combine.
Okoye is not on the media tour in New York and won't be attending the draft.
Goodell also has asked for a review of interviewing procedures at the combine. He has not yet determined what sort of discipline will be implemented for leaked information.
