RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider knows there are tough decisions coming in the future with All-Pros Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas, not to mention guys like Russell Wilson and Russell Okung.
That’s why he’s trying to take time during the Seahawks’ run to the Super Bowl to enjoy the team’s accomplishments, because it’s a lot of his work that has gone into turning Seattle around just four seasons after he arrived.
Schneider said Friday that it’s tough to not always be thinking ahead because of his focus on making sure Seattle is competitive for more than one year. But the excitement around the team and the staff makes him slow down and appreciate what he has done in partnership with coach Pete Carroll.
