San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin

Jimmy Garoppolo completed 16-of-27 passes for 248 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the 49ers' Week 16 win over the Rams. Garoppolo was bad for most of the game. He was sacked six times and his two interceptions were costly. The first one was picked by Jalen Ramsey while in zone coverage, and the second was deflected into the air by Ramsey in tight coverage that wound up in Darious Williams' hands. But as we've seen at times this season, Garoppolo made big plays to erase some of the nonsense. In the fourth quarter, Jimmy G hit George Kittle for a touchdown and then found Emmanuel Sanders deep downfield to set up the easy game-winning field goal. He'll need to play a better game for the Niners to win in the playoffs, but it got the job done tonight. Jimmy G will bring a 12-3 record into Seattle to close out the regular season next Sunday. He's a QB2 in fantasy circles.

Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Spin

Russell Wilson completed 16-of-31 passes for 169 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in the Seahawks' 27-13, Week 16 loss to the Cardinals. Russ averaged just 5.5 yards per attempt and took five sacks. It was a brutal performance in a very important game for the Seahawks. The loss of Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) didn’t help matters, but it was still shocking to see Wilson fail to enable either of Tyler Lockett (1-12-0) or DK Metcalf (0-0-0). Wilson is capable of exploiting any defense when everything is clicking, although this Seahawks offense has displayed a scary low floor at different points of the season. Up next is a season-defining Sunday night matchup against the 49ers.

San Francisco

The over is 8-3 in the 49ers’ last 11 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

Seattle

The over is 9-3 in the Seahawks’ last 12 home games versus a team with a winning road record.

NFL Week 17 Prediction

The over has cashed in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams and is a perfect 4-0 in the 49ers’ last four games versus divisional rivals. The over is also 7-2 in the Niners’ last nine games overall, is 6-1 in their last seven games as a favorite and is 11-5 in their last 16 games versus an opponent with a winning record. On the other side, the over is 7-3 in the Seahawks’ last 10 games versus NFC West opponents, is 13-6 in their last 19 conference games and has cashed in six of Seattle’s last seven games as a home underdog.

NFL WEEK 17 PREDICTION: 49ERS/SEAHAWKS OVER 45.5
