New York Giants Fantasy Spin
Evan Engram (foot, I.R.) said he doesn’t have a “full” Lisfranc injury, but he’s undergoing surgery Friday to stabilize the tendon. Engram was officially sent to I.R. Tuesday and in the end will miss 8-of-16 games this season to injury. Engram was initially diagnosed with a “mid-foot sprain” at the time of his injury in Week 10. That’s Lisfranc territory. Engram likely faces a lengthy rehab that will probably sideline him for OTAs and minicamp. The 25-year-old expects to be ready for the start of training camp next summer
Washington Redskins Fantasy Spin
Terry McLaurin caught all five of his targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in Week 15 against the Eagles. McLaurin caught a deep post, broke a tackle, and outran the Eagles secondary down the middle of the field for a 75-yard touchdown. It was the longest play of the season for the Redskins. McLaurin’s five targets were well behind Steven Sims (11), though he was far more productive and still ended up leading Washington in receiving. McLaurin has touchdowns in back-to-back games and at least seven targets in four of the last five weeks. With Dwayne Haskins trending up, he’ll be a WR2 play for a Week 16 matchup with the Giants.
