Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Cowboys are 7-point favorites to beat the Bucs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 48 points. As of this writing, 54% of the public betting tickets are on the Cowboys to cover the point spread.
Tampa Bay Bucs
DeSean Jackson (thumb) was upgraded to full participation at Thursday’s practice. Jackson is on track to make his return after catching passes on Wednesday and with today’s full practice. His return to the lineup does nothing but crowd the receiving group however. It’s tough to start Jackson or Chris Godwin against the Cowboys’ perimeter corners.
Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott completed 24-of-39 passes for just 206 scoreless yards and one interception in the Cowboys’ shutout Week 15 loss to the Colts. He didn’t register a rushing attempt. This is about as bad as it gets for Prescott from a fantasy lens. He should have had a short touchdown, but FB Jamize Olawale comically dropped the pass on third down before Dallas then failed on fourth down. The offense never sniffed the end zone again. Prescott’s interception was a sailed pass — one of several of those today — late in the fourth quarter in the red zone. Prescott will try to bounce back Week 16 against the Bucs.
