Patriots vs. Broncos Prediction
Can the Broncos jump back into the playoff field with a win over the Patriots today at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Broncos are 3-point home underdogs versus the Patriots while the over/under currently sits at 43.5 points. While the point spread hasn’t moved off the original number, the total opened at 44 before being bet down to 43.5.
NEW ENGLAND KEY TRENDS: The Patriots are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games, are 5-1 against the number in their last six games versus AFC opponents and are an impressive 13-3-2 at the betting window in their last 18 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. They have also covered the spread in seven of their last nine games overall.
DENVER KEY TRENDS: The Broncos have been a solid home team to back, as they’re 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine games at Mile High. They’re also 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game and have covered in four of their last five games when coming off a loss. (Denver fell 13-10 last Sunday to the Titans in Nashville.)

OUR PREDICTION: The Patriots are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven trips to Denver, while the home team is 7-0 against the number in their last seven games between these two teams. The only opponents that have given Tom Brady trouble have been the ones that have made him uncomfortable in the pocket. The Broncos have been one of those teams. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware wrecked the Patriots’ Super Bowl hopes last season and if Denver can slow down LeGarrette Blount (which will be no easy task), then I like the Broncos to pull off yet another upset versus the Pats. The Broncos need this one badly.
