“Rounding Again” will remain in the No. 1 spot in the SuperContest standings after a 4-1 week. The team had the Steelers as a slight underdog at Cincinnati (Pittsburgh won outright), the Patriots as a road favorite versus the Texans on Sunday night, the Raiders as a road dog at Denver (Oakland won outright), and the Seahawks as a heavy road favorite at Baltimore. The team’s lone loss was the Lions, who were upset by the Rams in St. Louis on Sunday.
“Kazbek,” who was in second place heading into Week 14, had a rough week. The team failed to hit the Cardinals as a home favorite on Thursday night against the Vikings, then lost on the Bengals, 49ers and Bears on Sunday. The lone winning pick that “Kazbek” had was the Jaguars, who blew out the Colts in Jacksonville.
Every week, Westgate takes all the picks from every contestant in the contest and compiles a “top 5,” where the five most-picked teams are listed for readers. Heading into Week 14, the “Top 5’s” year-to-date record was 36-28-1. But the “Top 5” is heading for a loss this week unless the Giants can cover as a 1-point road favorite at Miami on Monday night. While the “Top 5” hit on the Seahawks and Patriots, but the Lions and Bills both failed to cover in their respective games.
