The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks will meet tonight on “Monday Night Football” in a battle of NFC wild card contenders. Will the game turn into a defensive struggle for bettors or will these teams combine for enough points to push the score over the total?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Seahawks are 3-point favorites to beat the Vikings. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46 points. As of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets are on the Seahawks to cover the point spread.
Minnesota Vikings
Stefon Diggs (knee) will play in Week 14 against the Seahawks. This is a tremendous sign for Diggs, as he was taken off the team’s injury report Saturday morning. He was only able to muster one limited session before playing a reduced role in Week 13, but should be a full go following his early clearance for Monday night. As always when he’s healthy, Diggs is a strong WR2 on an offense that scrapped the run weeks ago.
Seattle Seahawks
A source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter they “wouldn’t think” Doug Baldwin (hip, game-time decision) will play Monday night, but they are “sure he will try.” Baldwin has seemingly been on the wrong side of a game-time decision all week, but the Seahawks are going to give him all the way up to warmups to prove he can play. Fantasy players who took the risk on Baldwin need to find an emergency option. David Moore and Jaron Brown are widely available.
NFL Betting Trends
Minnesota
The under is 5-1 in the Vikings’ last six games played on Monday night and is 4-1 in their last five games overall.
Seattle
The over is 4-1 in the Seahawks’ last five games played in the month of December and is 4-0 in their last four games overall.
Prediction
The over has been profitable in this series, cashing the last five times these two teams have met in Seattle. The over is also 5-2 in the Vikings’ last seven road games, is 5-2 in their last seven road games versus a team with a winning record, and is 6-2 in their last eight games against a team with a winning record. On the other side, the over is 5-2 in the Seahawks’ last seven home games and has cashed in five of their last seven games coming off a win of more than 14 points.
