Rams vs. Bears Total Prediction
The L.A. Rams have already clinched the NFC West Division title but are jockeying with the Saints for the top seed in the NFC. They’ll travel to Chicago on Sunday night to take on the Bears at 8:20 p.m. ET. What’s the best play for bettors when it comes to the total?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Rams are 3-point favorites to beat the Bears. The total, meanwhile, sits at 51.5 points. As of this writing, 71% of the public betting tickets are on the Rams to cover the point spread.
Los Angeles Rams
Jared Goff completed 17-of-33 passes for 207 yards with a touchdown and an interception while losing two yards on his two rushing attempts Sunday in the Rams’ Week 13 win over the Lions. He lost 12 yards on two sacks and was also charged with a lost fumble. Coming off a 413-yard masterpiece in his last game against the Chiefs in Week 11, Goff looked noticeably rusty coming off the Rams’ bye, making a number of head-scratching throws while accruing his fewest passing yards since Week 7. Goff’s interception came on a bad pass he forced into triple coverage early in the second quarter (Brandin Cooks was his intended receiver), while his lost fumble came at the hands of Snacks Harrison on L.A.’s opening drive of the second half. His lone touchdown went to Robert Woods, who beat Darius Slay for an eight-yard score with time running down in the second quarter. Sunday was far from Goff’s best, but the Rams still won to capture their second-straight NFC West crown. By virtue of the Saints’ loss on Thursday night, the Rams now control their own destiny in the NFC. Goff will hope for better results when he takes the field next week against a tough Bears defense.
Chicago Bears
Bears coach Matt Nagy said Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) is “getting better and he’s feeling better.” Reports have put Trubisky on track to return this week, but Nagy would not say if he expected the quarterback to practice let alone play. “We just keep seeing him throw and we see how he feels and then he tells us,” Nagy said. “And if we feel like it’s an opportunity for him to go out there and he’s going to be good and safe and our team is good and safe with him in there, then that’s what we’ll do.” With an important game against the Rams up next, the Bears will likely send Trubisky out there if he is even close to 100 percent.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The over is 5-1 in the Rams’ last six road games versus a team with a winning home record.
Chicago
The under is 5-2 in the Bears’ last seven home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.
Prediction
I like the under. I’m banking on the Rams’ offense struggling playing back-to-back road games and being forced to play in the frigid cold of Chicago. This would be a big statement game for a Bears team coming off a loss to the Giants. Chicago needs to keep pace with Minnesota in the NFC North and I like the Bears defense to rebound and keep the scoring in check.
NFL Week 14 Prediction: Rams/Bears under 51.5
