Saints vs. Skins Pick
The New Orleans Saints look to avoid a letdown when they travel to our nation’s capital to take on the Washington Redskins on Sunday at 1:00PM ET.
Drew Brees completed 18-of-23 passes for 371 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Saints to a 38-17 victory over the Patriots in Week 12. New Orleans easily covered as a 1-point favorite, while the combined score fell under the posted total of 57 points.
The Redskins lost to the Eagles 27-24 in Week 12, but they covered as a 10-point underdog. The combined score went over the posted total of 40.5 points, as Jason Campbell threw for 231 yards with two touchdowns, two interceptions and a touchdown run for Washington. Santana Moss also chipped in with four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Saints 10-point favorites over the Redskins in Week 13. The over/under total for this game has been set at 47 points for Sunday’s matchup.
Believe it or not, things are setting up nicely for the Redskins this weekend. The Saints are coming off an emotional win, will be on short rest and have to travel after having less time to prepare this week.
The Redskins meanwhile, have covered the spread in three of their last three games, have played better overall of late, and are 4-2 against the number in their last six games when playing New Orleans.
Our free pick prediction for this game is the Redskins +10. Washington’s pass defense is solid and might be able to contain Brees and Sean Payton’s offense long enough to keep the Redskins in the ballgame throughout.
Our NFL Week 13 Free Pick for this matchup is: WASHINGTON REDSKINS +10 and OVER UNDER 47.
