Raiders vs. Chiefs Spread Prediction
After releasing their star running back less than 48 hours ago, the Kansas City Chiefs will attempt to refocus when they visit the Oakland Raiders at 4:05 p.m. ET. Will the Chiefs cover as a double-digit favorite or are they laying too many points?
Game Snapshot

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are 14-point favorites to beat the Raiders. The total, meanwhile, sits at 54.5 points. As of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets are on the Chiefs to cover the point spread.
Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs SS Eric Berry (questionable, heel) is not expected to play Week 13 against the Raiders. The stud safety returned to limited practice this week but was always a long shot to suit up against Oakland. Frankly the Chiefs shouldn’t need him against one of the league’s worst offenses. Look for Berry to make his season debut when the Chiefs host Baltimore in Week 14. That will be Berry’s first game action since last year’s season opener.
Oakland Raiders
Martavis Bryant (knee) has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 13. Bryant was never going to play after missing his third straight week of practice. The Raiders will continue to go with Marcell Ateman and Jordy Nelson as their top wideouts. Bryant may be targeting a Week 14 return.
NFL Betting Trends
Kansas City
The Chiefs are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games versus conference opponents and are 20-7-1 against the number in their last 28 road games.
Oakland
The Raiders are just 1-5-1 at the betting window in their last seven home games and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Prediction
The Raiders are horrendous but I’m taking the points anyway. The Chiefs just released Kareem Hunt after a video posted to TMZ showed him striking a woman in a hotel incident back in February. While the Chiefs have more than enough talent to overcome the loss, the Hunt incident is a huge distraction that the team now has to deal with and it may affect their on-field performance as well. If Kansas City comes out flat, the Chiefs can certainly recover but perhaps not in enough time to cover as a double-digit favorite.
