Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Colts are 4-point favorites to beat the Jaguars. The total, meanwhile, sits at 47 points. As of this writing, 64% of the public betting tickets are on the Colts to cover the point spread.
Indianapolis Colts
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Marlon Mack (concussion) is expected to play Week 13 against the Jaguars. Mack always looked on track to play after getting in a full practice Thursday. He struggled his last time out against the Jaguars, gaining just 29 yards on 12 carries, but script should work in his favor in this spot, making him a volume-based RB2.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jalen Ramsey (knee) is questionable for Week 13 against the Colts. Ramsey returned to limited work at Friday’s practice after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. It’s been an up-and-down year for Ramsey, along with the rest of the Jacksonville defense. His absence would be a boost for T.Y. Hilton, but Hilton is an upside WR2 no matter what.
NFL Betting Trends
Indianapolis
The Colts are 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven games against the Jaguars and the favorite is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings between these two teams.
Jacksonville
The Jaguars are 0-5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
Prediction
The Jaguars are in freefall mode following their loss to the Bills last week in Buffalo. They fired offensive coordinator Nathanial Hackett and benched quarterback Blake Bortles for back-up Cody Kessler. Their best offensive weapon, running back Leonard Fournette, was also suspended for throwing a punch during that loss to the Bills last week. Again, the Jags are a mess. Meanwhile, the Colts are surging. They didn’t cover last week as a 9-point home favorite but they showed resiliency in their come-from-behind victory versus the Dolphins. I don’t normally like laying points on the road but I’ll make the exception here. The Jags have quit.
