Packers vs. Giants Week 13 Prediction

Packers vs. Giants, 12/1/19 NFL Week 13 Predictions & Point Spreads

The Packers will visit the Giants looking to rebound from their ugly performance in San Francisco last week. Laying 6.5 points on the road, are the Pack a safe play for bettors or is there more value in the home underdog on Sunday?

Green Bay Packers Fantasy Spin

Davante Adams caught 7-of-10 targets for 118 yards in the Packers' Week 10 win over the Panthers. Adams now has seven grabs in back-to-back weeks on 21 targets since his return from a toe injury. Adams was wreaking havoc on the Panthers' James Bradberry-less secondary. The only thing missing was a touchdown, as Aaron Rodgers didn't throw one while Aaron Jones ran three in for scores. Adams and the Packers have their bye week before a Week 12 date with the 49ers.

New York Giants Fantasy Spin

Saquon Barkley compiled 59 yards on 17 carries along with two catches for one yard on three targets Sunday in New York’s Week 12 loss to the Bears. It was another down week for Barkley, who hasn't been himself since returning from a high-ankle sprain. Saquon did break off a 22-yard gallop late to salvage his afternoon (why the Giants were looking to establish the run down 12 with six minutes to go is beyond us), but was mostly held in check by the Bears, who limited the reigning Rookie of the Year to just 31 yards on 12 carries in the first half (2.6 yards per attempt). Usually an adept pass-catcher, Barkley killed a Giants first-quarter drive with an ugly drop on third-and-three. Clearly hobbled, Barkley has limped to an anemic 2.0 yards per carry over his last three outings. We'll see if Barkley can turns things around next week against Green Bay.

NFL Betting Trends

Green Bay

The Packers are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games played in the month of December but have covered the spread four straight times when coming off a loss.

New York

The Giants are just 2-5 against the number in their last seven games overall and are 5-15-1 against the number in their last 21 home games.

Prediction

The Packers are just 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six meetings with eh Giants while the home team is 3-0-1 against the number in the last four meetings between these two teams overall. Despite being 8-3, the Packers are an inconsistent team and while the Giants are depleted offensively and bad offensively, Barkley and Daniel Jones should be able to make enough plays to keep this game tight. Until the Packers have their offensive line issues under control, there’s no reason to lay over a touchdown on Green Bay. Schedule makers also didn’t do the Packers any favors by traveling back-to-back weeks, once to the West Coast to face the 49ers last Sunday night and then all the way to the East Coast to take on the Giants today.

NFL Week 13 Prediction: New York Giants +6.5
