According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Bills are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 45 points. These two have split their last 10 meetings while hitting the over in four straight encounters.
Jacksonville is coming off a 26-19 loss at Detroit last week, putting them at 2-8 on the season. They have lost five straight. The Jaguars are now 6-4 with the over. Jacksonville is giving up 26.5 points per contest despite allowing just 334.3 yards per game. The defense is led by Paul Posluszny, who has 85 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Offensively, Jacksonville is posting just 19.3 points and 349.9 yards per game this season. They really struggle on the ground, averaging only 87.6 yards per contest. T.J. Yeldon is questionable to play with an ankle injury. Blake Bortles has thrown for 2,623 yards and 18 touchdowns, but also has 13 interceptions. Allen Robinson is the leading receiver with 51 catches for 567 yards and six touchdowns.
Buffalo is coming off a 16-12 win at Cincinnati last week to snap a three-game losing streak. The Bills are now 5-5 on the season while going 7-3 with the over. Buffalo has hit the over in five of its last six games. Buffalo has a pretty dynamic offense, averaging 25.3 points and 355.8 yards per game. Tyrod Taylor has thrown for 1,935 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing for 401 yards and four scores. He could be getting a key weapon back this week as Sammy Watkins is looking to return to action. He has been out most of the season with a foot injury. On the ground, LeSean McCoy has rushed for 716 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Buffalo is giving up just 21.5 points and 366.3 yards per game. The Bills have 31 sacks and have forced 14 turnovers this year. Lorenzo Alexander has 44 tackles and 10 sacks to lead the unit.
Jacksonville hasn’t been productive on the road, being held under 20 points in four of the give games. Now they head to Buffalo to face a defense that is very difficult to move the ball against and good at forcing turnovers. While Buffalo has a capable offense, the Jags have been difficult to consistently move against. Look for the Jags to do enough to keep the total low.
