Eagles vs. Bears Pick
The Sunday Night Football matchup pits two teams in desperate need of a win against each other when the Chicago Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles lost to the Chargers 31-23 as a 1.5-point underdog in Week 10, while the combined score in that game went over the posted total of 47. Donovan McNabb led the Eagles with 450 yards and two touchdowns, while Jason Avant caught eight passes for 156 yards.
The 49ers beat the Bears 10-6 on Thursday night football in Week 10. The combined score went under the posted total of 43, while kicker Robbie Gould was the only highlight for Chicago in the loss by making field goals of 50 and 38 yards.
Oddsmakers for online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Eagles 3-point favorites over the Bears in Week 11. The over/under total has been established at 45 points for this matchup.
Chicago is just 1-4 against the spread in its last five games, while the Eagles are 14-7 against the number in their last 21 games on the road. The Bears do hold the edge on Philadelphia in most recent meetings, as Chicago is 9-4 against the number in its last 13 games when playing Philadelphia.
Jay Cutler has been absolutely atrocious in night games this season. He’s threw multiple interceptions in losses to the Packers, Falcons and 49ers, which were all night games this season.
The Eagles have better overall talent then the Bears and should stop a stumbling Chicago offense cold on Sunday night. Cutler feels as though he has to win games on his own because Matt Forte and the running game has been non-existent, therefore he winds up throwing a ton of interceptions while trying to make plays.
McNabb should abuse an injury-riddled Chicago defense and connect for big plays with receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Although not having Brian Westbrook (concussion), LeSean McCoy has done a nice job providing the Eagles with some kind of running game.
Our free pick for this game is the Eagles –3 and the under 45. The total has gone under in four of Philadelphia’s last six games when playing Chicago and the Bears have had issues scoring this season.
Our NFL Week 11 Free Pick for this matchup is: PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3 and UNDER 45.
