Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
A league source tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Lamar Jackson (questionable, illness) is “50-50” to start Sunday against the Bears. The source did reiterate it is not the coronavirus, of which Jackson has already had twice. It is extremely rare for NFL players to miss games with non-COVID illnesses, but we don’t know what Jackson is dealing with. It is serious enough that it landed him on the injury report two separate times this week. He was initially removed on Friday before being added back on Saturday. We have a difficult time believing Jackson won’t suit up, but this is clearly real. The good news is we will know by 11:30 AM ET whether Jackson or Tyler Huntley will be under center in Chicago. Or at least we hope. We suppose there is a scenario where Jackson is active but not starting, though the Ravens did elevate Trace McSorley from the practice squad, lessening the odds of that happening.
Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Justin Fields completed 17-of-29 passes for 291 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Bears’ 29-27, Week 9 loss to the Steelers Monday night. He added 45 rushing yards on eight carries. This was easily Fields’ best to-date game in his young career, throwing for a season-high 291 yards and taking just three sacks while averaging a crisp 10.0 yards per attempt. It was a tale of two halves for the rookie, as he went to the break with less than 100 yards before the Bears eventually fell into a 20-6 hole. Fields had an awesome fourth quarter, however, engineering a pair of touchdown drives, finishing the second off with a 16-yard touchdown strike to Darnell Mooney to give Chicago a 27-26 lead with 1:46 to play. Fields made a number of top-notch throws, particularly while rolling to his left and squaring the shoulders up. He was taking a bunch of deep shots, too, hitting Allen Robinson for a 39-yard gain late after dropping a 50-yarder into Marquise Goodwin earlier. Cole Kmet also led the team with 6-87 receiving. Fields is getting more comfortable but is still just a QB2 for fantasy ahead of a Week 11 date with the Ravens after the bye.
