Chargers vs. Broncos Spread Prediction
The Los Angeles Chargers covered the spread as a 10-point road favorite versus the Raiders last Sunday. Now they’re laying 7 against another AFC West rival at 4:05 p.m. ET today when they host the Denver Broncos. Will the Bolts cover?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Chargers are 7-point favorites to beat the Broncos. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46.5 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Chargers to cover the point spread.
Denver Broncos
Broncos LG Max Garcia suffered a torn ACL at Thursday’s practice and is done for the season. Garica took every rep at Thursday’s practice but felt some discomfort and scans revealed the devastating injury. Garcia was filling in for Ronald Leary, who tore his Achille’s in Week 6. Already without C Matt Paradis (leg, I.R.), this Denver offensive line is in shambles as LT Garett Bolles has been a first-round whiff to this point. Billy Turner is expected to take over at left guard.
Los Angeles Chargers
Chargers DE Joey Bosa (questionable, foot) is expected to see limited snaps if active for Sunday’s game with the Broncos. Bosa returned to practice this week but didn’t get in any full sessions. He’s not going to have an every-down role if he plays, with the Chargers likely limiting him to 10-15 snaps. Bosa’s status should be known early Sunday.
NFL Betting Trends
Denver
The Broncos are 3-11 against the spread in their last 14 road games and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven divisional games.
Los Angeles
The Chargers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall but failed to cover in 23 of their last 33 home games.
Prediction
This is a lot of points to lay in a divisional game but the Chargers covered the spread as a 10-point road favorite a week ago in an AFC West matchup with the Raiders so that doesn’t concern me. The Broncos seemingly gave up on head coach Vance Joseph in the second half of the season last year and I wouldn’t be shocked to see Denver pack it in early again this season. Either way, the Chargers are significantly better than their AFC West counterpart.
