Tians vs. Colts Pick
Who will take control the AFC South when the Indianapolis Colts play host to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1PM ET?
According to the oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Colts are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -3 points against the Titans. The over/under total is listed at 52.5 points. The Colts have won their last 10 against the Titans while going 9-1 against the spread in those 10 games, including a 34-26 win at Tennessee back on Oct. 23.
The Titans are coming off a 47-25 win at home over the Packers last week to move to 5-5 on the season and 4-6 against the spread. Tennessee’s offense has really started to develop into a power. They have scored at least 35 points in three straight and at least 26 in six straight games. They are now averaging 26.4 points and 395.4 yards per game on offense. Marcus Mariota has thrown for 2,482 yards and 21 touchdowns with just 8 interceptions to lead the offense while DeMarco Murray is knocking on the door of 1,000 yards. He sits at 930 for the season with eight touchdowns. Defensively, Tennessee is giving up 25.1 points and 380.8 yards per game. They have struggled against the pass, giving up 287.1 yards per game. However, they are strong up front and have 28 sacks as a team, led by Brian Orakpo’s 9.
The Colts are also coming off a win over the Packers, but theirs came two weeks ago in Green Bay, 31-26. Indy is 4-5 following the bye with a 4-4-1 mark against the spread. They are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games. Like the Titans, Indy has an offense that puts up big numbers, averaging 26.6 points and 383 yards per game. However, Indy relies mostly on the arm of Andrew Luck, as they average just 98 rushing yards per game. Luck has thrown for 2,565 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, but he has been sacked 33 times. T.Y. Hilton is his top receiver, as he has 52 catches for 791 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Indy has really struggled, allowing 28.4 points and 413.1 yards per game, including nearly 300 yards per game through the air.

The Titans struggled to stop Luck in the first meeting while Mariota had just 232 passing yards, but I think this is a different Tennessee team. The Titans are really starting to come together on offense and believing that they can win this division. The Colts have been a spotty team all year and their weaknesses don’t seem to be something they can correct. I think the Titans pass rush will create problems for Luck and force some turnovers in a game that will need a lot of points to win.
