Cardinals vs. 49ers Week 11 Prediction
The 49ers stumbled on Monday night, losing for the first time in 2019 to NFC West rival the Seahawks. Facing another divisional foe and laying 10 points as a home favorite, will the Niners rebound today versus the Cardinals?

Arizona Cardinals Fantasy Spin
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirms Kenyan Drake will start over David Johnson in Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the 49ers. It’s the right move with Johnson clearly hobbled by his sprained ankle. Drake obliterated the Niners when these teams met last month, erupting for 162 yards on 19 touches in Week 9. The ex-Dolphin out-touched Johnson by a commanding 16-5 margin in last week’s loss to Tampa Bay and we’d expect a similar split Sunday in Santa Clara.
San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Emmanuel Sanders (questionable, ribs) will play Week 11 against the Cardinals. Sanders didn’t log a single practice rep this week, but he’s prepared to gut it out for Sunday’s divisional matchup with Arizona. The risk of re-injury and potential matchup with All-Pro Patrick Peterson are both deterrents, though Sanders was excellent when these teams squared off in Phoenix two weeks ago, producing seven grabs for 112 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. It’s unclear if Sanders will see a full complement of snaps coming off last week’s rib injury. If the Niners limit him at all, Deebo Samuel would stand to benefit.
NFL Betting Trends
Arizona
The Cardinals are 21-7-2 against the spread in their last 30 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
San Francisco
The 49ers are 5-2 against the number in their last seven games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
Prediction
The Niners should rebound, especially with the return of Sanders. When he went out on Monday night, Jimmy Garoppolo and the passing game struggled. That said, the 49ers also played a full extra quarter less than a week ago and now have to turn around and chase Kyler Murray all over the field. The Niners might come out in the first quarter, but once those tired legs settle in, then the effects of Monday night will show up. I like getting 10 points with the Cardinals, who have covered the spread in five of their last six road games and in five of their last six games overall. Remember, this is the same Arizona team that staged a comeback against San Francisco just a few weeks ago. That matchup was on a Thursday night, so the Niners were coming off a short week then as well. Murray nearly led the Cardinals to a fourth quarter come-from-behind victory in that game.
