Bengals still in SB mix despite first loss
The Bengals suffered their first loss of the 2015 season on Monday night but they’re still listed among the top teams to win the Super Bowl.
Quarterback Andy Dalton completed 22-of-38 passes for 197 yards with one interception in the Bengals’ 10-6 loss to the Texans on Monday night. Not only was the loss Cincinnati’s first of the season, it came on a night when the Bengals were 10-point home favorites over the Texans. The loss snapped a streak in which Cincinnati had covered the spread in three straight games.
Despite the loss, the Bengals are 15/2 to win the 2016 Super Bowl according to oddsmakers from Mybookie.ag. They’re listed third behind only the Patriots (5/2) and Cardinals (6/1) in terms of odds to win the NFL title game this season. (Check out all updated Super Bowl odds at our NFL Futures Page.)
The Bengals will look to get back on track when they visit the Cardinals on Sunday Night Football this week. Arizona is currently listed as a 3-point home favorite for the 8:30PM ET kickoff.
