Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Falcons are 3-point favorites to beat the Cowboys. The total, meanwhile, sits at 49 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Falcons to cover the point spread.
Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith missed practice Wednesday with back spasms. Coach Jason Garrett said he is hopeful Smith can practice Thursday. Back spasms are not a long-term concern, but the Cowboys will likely be cautious considering Smith’s injury history. Atlanta’s pass rush is anything but fearsome, but they did sack Dak Prescott eight times last season with Smith out of the lineup.
Atlanta Falcons
Falcons MLB Deion Jones (foot) is out for Week 11 against the Cowboys. Coach Dan Quinn said Jones is “so close.” Though he’ll still be sidelined for Atlanta’s Week 11 matchup against the Cowboys, it sounds as if he’s trending towards playing Thanksgiving night against the Saints. Jones will reportedly participate in the Falcons’ walkthrough on Saturday, too, as he inches closer every day to making his on-field return.
NFL Betting Trends
Dallas
The over is 4-0 in the Cowboys’ last four games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Atlanta
The under is 10-2 in the Falcons’ last 12 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Prediction
When Ezekiel Elliott is rolling, so too is the Dallas offense. The Cowboys struggled offensively on the road this season until last week when they scored 27 points on Sunday night in Philadelphia. Elliott should have an outstanding day against an Atlanta defense that was shredded a week ago by Nick Chubb and the Cleveland rushing attack and if that’s the case, the dynamic Falcons offense would spend a lot of time on the sideline. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Atlanta and is 20-6 in Dallas’ last 26 road games.
