Broncos vs. Skins Pick
The Denver Broncos are sputtering and will be looking to end a recent two-game losing streak when they take on the Washington Redskins in Week 10.
The Broncos dropped their second game of the season after they were beaten 28-10 by the Steelers in Week 9. Brandon Marshall caught 12 passes for 112 yards for the Broncos, who failed to cover as 3-point home favorites. The combined score fell under the posted total of 41 points.
The Redskins were also defeated last week, falling to the Falcons 31-17 as an 10-point road underdog. Jason Campbell threw for 196 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Washington, while running back Ladell Betts rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in backup duty. The combined score went over the posted total of 41.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Broncos 4-point favorites over the Redskins in Week 10. The over/under total for this game has been set at 37 points.
For as bad as the Redskins have been this season, they’ve actually played the Broncos tough over the years. Washington is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games when playing Denver.
Without Clinton Portis (who won’t play this week due to concussion), there’s not a lot to like about the Redskins – especially offensively. But their defense has actually played well considering how much they’ve been on the field, especially in the secondary where they have the top ranked pass defense in the league.
The Broncos are coming off an emotional loss to the Steelers on Monday night and now have to fly cross-country. There’s no question that they’re a better team than the Redskins, but oddsmakers have laid a small trap for bettors with the point spread being relatively low.
But we’re not biting and suggest that bettors don’t either. This is a three-point game either way and it might be a perfect time taking a home underdog seeing as how Denver has struggled the past two weeks. Our free pick prediction for the total is the under, which has hit in 10 of Washington’s last 11 games at home.
Our NFL Week 10 Free Pick for this matchup is: WASHINGTON REDSKINS +4 and OVER 37.
