Updated Week 10 NFL Betting Odds Report
The NFL’s Week 10 slate features a flurry of compelling matchups and key storylines. Thus, we’ve taken the liberty of highlighting a few especially relevant questions as the noon kickoffs near.
What team embodies the biggest favorite?
Despite the absence of stalwart safety Tyrann Mathieu, the Cardinals are predicted to beat the 49ers going away. According to oddsmakers at online sports book BetDSI, Bruce Arians’ club opened as a 13-point favorite in the desert. At 3-4-1, Arizona’s trying to climb back into the NFC West race. San Francisco (1-7), of course, seems destined for a top-three selection in the 2017 draft. The league’s leading rusher, David Johnson (705 yards on 156 carries), may post PlayStation-worthy numbers here.
What’s the smallest point spread?
The City of Brotherly Love could well serve as the backdrop for the afternoon’s tightest affair. Atlanta, which occupies first place in the NFC South, heads to Philadelphia as a mere 1-point favorite. Matt Ryan & Co. absolutely ambushed the Buccaneers on Nov. 3, 43-28, and a victory at Lincoln Financial Field would begin to generate real conversation regarding the Falcons’ hopes for a home playoff game. On the flip side, the Eagles must recover from a sloppy loss against the Giants. Signal-caller Carson Went tossed a pair of uncharacteristic interceptions in that tilt, and his squad was forced into catch-up mode entirely too early.
What is the largest total in Week 10?
Sooner or later, Green Bay’s rather calamitous medial situation should stabilize. Today, however, we’re eying another thoroughly unpredictable outing for the Packers. Handicappers expect the NFC North heavyweights and Tennessee to combine for 50 points in several hours. On the heels of a shootout in San Diego, Marcus Mariota and his brethren appear unlikely to struggle in terms of stringing together extended scoring drives. Obviously, Clay Matthews’ faulty hamstring exacerbates the visitors’ defensive issues. One bit of good news for Cheeseheads: Wideout Randall Cobb’s no longer on the injury report.
What is the smallest total for Week 10?
Will the Rams and Jets slog through their showdown at MetLife Stadium? That’s the general consensus, as pundits highly doubt a clash in the 40s. After a 3-1 start to the campaign, Los Angeles once again looks listless on offense. Running back Todd Gurley's most recent 100-yard performance came on Dec. 13, 2015, while Case Keenum’s perplexing decision-making at quarterback continues to heighten fans’ thirst for No. 1 pick Jared Goff. New York’s a mess under center, too, with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick trying to work through a sprained MCL in his right knee. Former Baylor trigger man Bryce Petty stands a good chance of entering the proceedings at some juncture.
What contest has seen the largest line movement?
The Bengals and Giants keep bouncing around in advance of tomorrow’s meeting in New Jersey. Andy Dalton’s crew actually opened as a 2.5-point underdog. Now, though, the defending AFC North champion represents a slight favorite to improve to 4-4-1. The G-Men don’t exactly have a rash of ailments with which to contend. Nonetheless, serious concerns exist in the backfield. Rashad Jennings’ ineffectiveness probably means more carries for Paul Perkins moving forward. As for Cincy, it’s well rested and healthy following a bye.
