Colts vs. Steelers Week 9 Prediction
The Colts were favored to beat the Steelers for much of the week but now Pittsburgh is laying a point for Sunday’s 1:00 p.m. ET matchup at Heinz Field. Should bettors follow the line movement or do the Colts still hold the most value?

Indianapolis Colts Fantasy Spin
Colts DE Justin Houston (calf) is questionable for the team’s Week 9 matchup against the Steelers. Houston was a late addition to the injury report this week and didn’t practice Friday. He’s racked up 31 pressures in 330 snaps this season. Overall, Houston is PFF’s No. 23 highest-graded edge defender among 114 qualified defenders.
Pittsburgh Steelers Fantasy Spin
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports James Conner (doubtful, shoulder) is not expected to play in Week 9 against the Colts. He’s also “in jeopardy” of missing Pittsburgh’s Week 10 contest against the Rams. With Benny Snell (knee) additionally sidelined for the next few weeks following a meniscus trim, Jaylen Samuels projects to handle nearly every touch ahead of Trey Edmunds and Tony Brooks-James in the Steelers’ next two games. Fire Samuels up with complete confidence as a low-end RB1 against Indy.
Indianapolis
The Colts are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven road games while the underdog has covered in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams.
Pittsburgh
The home team has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams and the Steelers have covered in four of their last five games overall.
NFL Week 9 Prediction
The Colts barely picked up the win last week as a 6-point home favorite versus the Broncos and now they enter today’s matchuip with the Steelers with several key injury concerns. T.Y. Hilton (calf) is officially out, while Houston (calf), Malik Hooker (knee) and Eric Ebron (ankle) are all questionable. If Houston and Hooker are out or limited, the Steelers have an advantage in the passing game, especially in the slot where JuJu Smith-Schuster operates from. While it came against a bad Miami defense, Mason Rudolph heated up on Monday night and started to push the ball downfield more than in previous games this season. Overall, I like the matchup better in the Steelers’ favor on both sides of the ball given the Colts’ injuries. With the line also jumping the fence over the past 24 hours, it would appear as though some of the wiseguys in Vegas agree that the Steelers are the play here.
