Eagles vs. Cowboys Prediction
Are the Eagles a good bet to cover as a small road underdog tonight when they visit the Cowboys for Sunday Night Football?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are 5-point home favorites versus the Eagles after opening as a 4.5-point favorite earlier in the week. As for the total, the number hit the board at 43.5 and has been bet up to 44.
Bet Tonight’s Eagles vs. Cowboys Game
Rookie quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott have led their teams to a combined 9-3 record and will meet for the first time in their young careers. The Eagles are seeking their fourth consecutive road win versus the Cowboys for the first time since 1988-91 and own a 7-3 record in road division games since 2013.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, are seeking their first six-game winning streak within a season since Weeks 2-7 of 2014. Rookie Ezekiel Elliott has rushed for 130-plus yards in four consecutive games. Over that span, he leads the NFL in rushing yards up the middle (200), while averaging 7.7 yards per rush on such attempts, which is best among qualified running backs according to NFL.com.

OUR PREDICTION: The Cowboys are just 1-5 at home against the Eagles under Jason Garrett. They’re also just 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games versus Philadelphia while the road team is 4-0 at the betting window in the last four meetings between these two teams and the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. The Cowboys have covered five-straight games but I’m willing to bet that the bye week affected their momentum. They may win, but this is going to be a closer game than the Vegas number suggests.
