Bills vs. Patriots Spread Prediction
The New England Patriots are laying a whopping 14 points to the Bills tonight in Buffalo. Is there any value with the 2-5 Bills or will Tom Brady and Co. steam roll their AFC East counterparts?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Patriots are 14-point favorites to beat the Bills. The total, meanwhile, sits at 44.5 points. As of this writing, 65% of the public betting tickets are on the Patriots to cover the point spread.
Buffalo Bills
Derek Anderson (back, calf) was removed from the Week 8 injury report. Anderson got in a full practice Saturday after being limited the last two days. He was already announced as the Week 8 starter, so there was no doubt over his status. Even in what projects as a pass heavy game for Buffalo, Anderson isn’t a two-quarterback league option.
New England Patriots
Sony Michel (knee) has been downgraded to out for Week 8 against the Bills. RT Marcus Cannon and DE Geneo Grissom have also been ruled out. Michel was always a long shot to play after getting hurt last week, but it sounds like he could return by the time the Patriots play next after the Buffalo game. In his absence, it’ll be James White and Kenjon Barner in the backfield.
NFL Betting Trends
New England
The Patriots are 15-5 against the spread in their last 20 road games.
Buffalo
The Bills are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 divisional games.
Prediction
There’s always at least some value in taking a home underdog in a prime time situation but I don’t see the Bills keeping pace tonight. The Patriots won’t have Michel but will have Rob Gronkowski and I see them airing it out consistently with Brady. Can Anderson and Co. keep pace? Unlikely. The Patriots are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last six games against the Bills and are 15-5-1 at the betting window in their last 21 games in Buffalo. Maybe the Bills keep this thing close for a while but I see the Pats cruising in the second half.
