The Odds

After opening as a 3.5-point road favorite, the Falcons are now a 6-point favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. As for the total, the number opened at 47.5 but has been bet down a full point to 46.5.

The Records

Atlanta is 5-1 straight up, having lost its first game of the season in a 31-21 defeat in New Orleans on a Thursday night in Week 6. The loss was also the second time in as many weeks that the Falcons didn't cover the spread, as they're now 4-2 ATS on the year. On the other side, Tennessee is 1-4 straight up and 2-3 at the betting window.

The Pick

Unfortunately the value that came with taking the Falcons has disappeared. But with the number still under a touchdown, Atlanta is still an attractive play. Good teams bounce back from losses and Dan Quinn has the Falcons headed in the right direction. They didn't deserve a win against the Saints last week because they played a sloppy game throughout. But keep in mind that Atlanta still had an opportunity to win the game in the fourth quarter despite turning the ball over multiple times in New Orleans territory and surrendering a touchdown off a blocked punt. Despite playing the entire game, Julio Jones (hamstring) still couldn't create the separation that we're accustomed to seeing. The 10 days between games should help Jones and the entire Atlanta offense, which should move the ball consistently versus Tennessee today.
