Cowboys vs. Giants Free Pick
Will a change at quarterback provide the Dallas Cowboys with a spark today when they visit the New York Giants at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Cowboys are 3-point road underdogs versus the Giants after opening as a 5-point dog. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 45 points after opening at 45.5.
Dallas enters play with a 2-3 record and is just 1-4 against the spread, failing to cover in each of its last three games. On the other side, New York is 3-3 overall and 3-3 against the spread after failing to cover as a road favorite in Philadelphia on Monday night.
Matt Cassel takes over for the ineffective Brandon Weeden, who failed to provide production for the Cowboys after Tony Romo went down with an injury in Week 2. Cassel isn't likely to light up the stat sheet but he at least can push the ball downfield, which was something that eluded Weeden. Cassel also had an opportunity to get up to speed during Dallas' bye week, so at least he's not trying to run the offense on limited practice time. As for the Giants, they were sloppy on Monday night and now have a short week of rest to prepare for a divisional rival that is coming off extra rest. The underdog is 9-4 against the spread in the last 13 meetings between these two teams while the Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games.
