Cards at Giants Pick
The Sunday night football game in Week 7 features two playoff teams from a year ago as the New York Giants host the Arizona Cardinals at 8:20PM ET.
The Cardinals crushed the Seahawks 27-3 in Week 6 as a 3-point underdog. Kurt Warner threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns for Arizona, while Larry Fitzgerald hauled in 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
The Giants were absolutely hammered by the Saints 48-27 as a 3-point underdog last Sunday. Eli Manning threw for 178 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted once and couldn’t get much going. Hakeem Nicks caught fives passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Giants 7-point favorites Sunday night over the Cardinals. The over/under total for this game has been set at 47 points.
If the ebb and flow of a NFL season is any indication of how this game will play out, then the Giants should win handily because they were routed last week and the Cards played well. But New York has to get healthy in a hurry.
Arizona is starting to find its rhythm offensively, but they still have more than enough issues defensively. If Brandon Jacobs could ever get going, then he could open things up for Manning and the passing game and take advantage of the Cardinals’ inconsistent defensive plays.
We like the G-Men to bounce back this week. We don’t think they’ll lose two in a row and while seven points is a lot to give in a prime time game (especially considering the Cardinals are a solid football team), but we like New York to cover. We just don’t think Tom Coughlin’s squad will play poorly two straight weeks.
Our NFL Week 6 Free Pick for this matchup is: NEW YORK GIANTS -7 and OVER 47.
