New York Giants DFS Spin
Daniel Jones completed 12-of-19 passes for 112 yards, one score, and one interception in the Giants’ Week 6 win over Washington, adding 74 yards on seven carries. Jones threw a perfectly placed ball to Darius Slayton in the first half that resulted in the Giants’ only offensive score of the day. Their other trip to the end zone came on a fumble recovery that was taken to the house. Jones didn’t do much as a passer but had multiple impressive runs including a 49-yarder that set up a Graham Gano field goal later in the drive. The Giants are on a short week now as they face the Eagles on Thursday Night Football in four days. Jones’ ability as a rusher makes him a high-end QB2 but his lack of passing production greatly caps his upside.
Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
Carson Wentz completed 21-of-40 attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 30-28 Week 6 loss to the Ravens, adding five rushes for 49 yards and a touchdown. It was an ugly outing that ended up OK for those who played Wentz in 2-QB or superflex leagues this week. Wentz was under constant duress, taking six sacks on the day. The Eagles lost Miles Sanders (knee) and Zach Ertz (foot) in this one, adding to their laundry list of injuries to key offensive players. Wentz time and again looked to Travis Fulgham in the Eagles’ frantic comeback attempt. Going for the tie on a two-point attempt late in the game, Wentz was tackled after a botched exchange with Boston Scott — an inglorious way to end a comeback that would have been one of the most improbable in recent memory. Wentz profiles as a serviceable QB2 option next week against the Giants, depending on how many of the team’s offensive weapons can return for Week 7.
