Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Ravens are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Saints. The total, meanwhile, sits at 49.5 points. As of this writing, 60% of the public betting tickets are on the Saints to cover the point spread.
New Orleans Saints
Saints placed WR Ted Ginn (knee) on injured reserve. Ginn injured his knee in Week 4 and apparently did not make enough progress during the Saints’ Week 6 bye for the team to stick it out. We would assume the 33-year-old deep threat will be a candidate for return after missing the required eight weeks. In the interim, third-rounder Tre’Quan Smith is going to be the main beneficiary. Smith already rained hellfire on the Redskins in Ginn’s Week 5 absence. He’s worth a flier in all leagues where he remains unowned.
Baltimore Ravens
Joe Flacco completed 25-of-37 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown, and one pick in the Ravens’ big Week 6 win over the Titans. Flacco wasn’t needed as the Ravens took a 14-0 lead into the half and never looked back. Baltimore’s defense sacked Marcus Mariota a whopping 11 times on the day, inevitably allowing Flacco to stand around and handoff to Alex Collins (19/54/2) until the final whistle. The Titans quietly boast an efficient pass rush, so an outing such as this was expected. Have no fear in turning right around and starting/streaming Flacco everywhere across all formats in Week 7 against the Saints.
