According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Lions are 3-point home favorites versus the Bears while the total currently sits at 44 points. Chicago is 2-3 on the year and 2-3 against the spread, while Detroit is 0-5 straight up and just 1-4 at the betting window.

The Lions are a mess offensively. They benched Matthew Stafford last Sunday in a loss to the Cardinals and can't move the ball despite investing several draft picks on that side of the ball over the last couple of years.

That said, don't let the blowout loss to the Cardinals fool you. The Detroit defense is capable of harassing a sporadic Jay Cutler that is a turnover waiting to happen on most of his drop backs. If Stafford and Co. can protect the ball offensively, the Lions should pick up their first win of the year.

The Bears are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games versus the Bears and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall versus Chicago. The home team is also 4-1 against the number in the last five meetings between these two teams.
