Panthers vs. Seahawks Odds

According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Seattle is the favorite at home, as the Seahawks are getting odds of -7 points against the Panthers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 40.5 points. Seattle has won five straight meetings with Carolina, going 4-1 against the spread in those five games.
Carolina is 4-0 on the season, 3-1 against the spread and 2-1-1 with the over. The Panthers are coming off a bye week last week, but they are rolling entering Week 6. Its defense is one of the best in the league right now, allowing just 17.8 points and 339 yards per game. Carolina’s rush defense is sixth in the NFL, allowing only 92 yards per game. On offense, the Panthers are putting up 27 points and 322 yards per game, led by its fourth-ranked rush attack that averages 132.2 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 809 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 195 yards and two scores. Greg Olsen is the leading receiving with 17 catches for 243 yards and two touchdowns while Josh Norman is leading the defense with 19 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass deflections and two touchdowns.
Seattle is 2-3 on the year, 1-3-1 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. The Seahawks are coming off a 27-24 OT loss to the Bengals on the road last week. Seattle had a 24-7 lead entering the fourth quarter. Seattle has a pretty solid defense still, as it allows just 19.6 points and 306.8 yards per game. They also are seventh in the NFL against the run, holding opponents to just 92.6 yards per game. On offense, Seattle is posting 22.2 points and 356 yards per game. The Seahawks have the NFL’s best rushing attack, posting 142.4 yards per game. Marshawn Lynch has missed the last two games with an injury and only has 128 yards this year, but he is expected back this week. Russell Wilson has thrown for 1,192 yards and six touchdowns to lead the offense. He also has 198 rushing yards. The Seattle defense is led by Michael Bennett, who has 21 tackles and three sacks.
