49ers vs. Rams Week 6 Prediction
The 49ers are one of the few unbeaten teams in the NFL but they have a tough test on Sunday when they travel to Los Angeles to take on NFC West rivals the Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET. Will the Niners finally meet their match or will they pull off the upset?

San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin
Jimmy Garoppolo completed 20-of-29 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the 49ers’ 31-3, Week 5 win over the Browns. It was about as easy a night as Garoppolo could have asked for after the 49ers just blew the Browns out of building by running the ball and playing defense. Garoppolo’s first score was a short one to Matt Breida, and the second went to George Kittle to bust his mini slump. Kittle led the Niners with 6-70-1 on a team-high eight targets. Garoppolo and the 4-0 Niners travel to face the Rams next Sunday in what should be a fun NFC West showdown.
Los Angeles Rams Fantasy Spin
Todd Gurley (quad) did not practice Wednesday. Coach Sean McVay said Gurley is day to day with a thigh contusion. He’ll have to get in at least a limited practice by Friday to have a real shot at suiting up against the 49ers this week. Gurley’s handcuff Malcolm Brown needs to be owned in most leagues just in case Gurley can’t get ready in time. This quad injury isn’t directly related to the knee arthritis that’s arguably slowed him down in 2019, but it’s another issue worth monitoring.
NFL Betting Trends
San Francisco
The 49ers are 1-5 against the spread in their last six NFC West opponents.
Los Angeles
The Rams are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight conference games and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Prediction
The Rams have been a tough team to beat in the Sean McVay era, mostly because Jared Goff has been so good at home. That said, the Rams are reeling a little bit following their 3-0 start. They were thrashed by a below-average Bucs team two weeks ago at home as a 9.5-point favorite and fell by a point to the Seahawks last Thursday in Seattle when Greg Zuerlien missed a makeable field goal. Meanwhile, the 49ers are 4-0 after handing an ass-kicking to the Browns on Monday Night Football and while they still have a lot to prove, I like Kyle Shanahan’s squad to get the most of a Wade Phillips defense that has struggled in back-to-back games.
