According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Falcons are 7-point home favorites versus the Redskins while the over/under currently sits at 48 points. Atlanta is a perfect 4-0 both against the spread and straight up, while Washington is 2-2 both straight up and ATS.

The Falcons scored seven touchdowns in their 48-21 win over the Texans last Sunday. They scored twice on defense and led 41-0 before allowing their backups to get valuable playing time and allowing the Texans to score three straight touchdowns.

Atlanta is due for a regression. In the NFL, things can be humming along for a couple of weeks, but then dropped passes, turnovers and penalties all occur in one game to bring a team back to earth. Look at what happened to the Cardinals last Sunday in their game versus the Rams. They had scored 31, 48 and 47 points in their first three games but they turned the ball over three times (including on the opening kickoff), racked up several dropped passes and were handed their first loss in a physical game.

Washington's defense is underrated and Jay Gruden has to know that in order to slow down Atlanta's offense, his team needs to run the ball. Expect this game to be low-scoring and due to the Falcons' recent offensive output, the total for this game is set perfectly for under bettors.
